Hello, friends!
We just wanted to touch base about a few Midwest shows we have next week. Despite feeling VERY satisfied with our recent prolificism, those new songs need to be performed for more people. Some of you here in Champaign-Urbana got a few previews last month at Krannert, Record Store Day, & Unionfest. But, we’re getting a bit antsy and need to spend a few days in some of our favorite regional cities. So, Madison, Chicago, & Lafayette…you’re in our sights!

Also, we’re excited to say that the songs for our next record are sounding GREAT and really moving along. We’ve demo’d ten so far and have five or so more that are ready to be loved, nestled, stretched, pulled, and then finally birthed. We’ll keep you posted, but thought we would at least send a little note your way. Are you excited???

Friends!

We hope you’re doing well and keeping busy. These are both things that we’re definitely doing, so we thought we’d give you an update. Songwriting for the new record is coming along REALLY well, as you might have seen from recent Facebook posts & Tweets. We currently have eleven…YES, ELEVEN…songs ready to go for the new record. But, we’d like to have fifteen before starting to even think about booking studio time with our new friend & faithful creative consul Beau Sorenson, who has worked with Death Cab for Cutie, Bob Mould of Husker Du, Sparklehorse, Yellow Ostrich, and many, many others. We can’t wait to get into the studio with him and MAKE THIS RECORD! But, for now just know that the songs are feeling great and we can’t wait for you to hear them.

In faaaaaaaaact, we have four shows coming up and if you’re in the Midwest you can hear most of these new songs at any or all of these shows. Mark your calendars now!

We haven’t checked in in a while because we’ve been working on new songs for the next record and enjoying the comfort of our own beds here in Champaign-Urbana. But, things are rustling a bit in Camp Elsinore and we thought we’d tell you all about it!

New Remixes

Finally, our dear friend Sven has made not one…not two…but three remixes of “Gasoline” from Yes Yes Yes. We’ve posted them on our BandCamp page for you to check out and pay what you want for.  All proceeds will go to one of Sven’s favorite charities, The Imerman Angels. We’re home from the EP release tour and couldn’t be happier with how it all went. For some of you this is a Welcome to Elsinore! blog post, and for others it’s simply a friendly squeeze from us to you. Thank you Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Boston/Cambridge, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Cincinnati, and Bowling Green!
We played to a lot of new people, got some great feedback, and feel better than ever about the songs for the next record. Touring is a wonderful thing. So, now we’ll play just a few more shows over the next few weeks and then dive head-first back into songwriting.
