Hey Elsinore! Vulvette was so appalled to hear about the accident. Glad Dave is alright and that made it home ok.

Hope this doesn’t turn you off from coming to Columbia again. We’ve heard rave reviews of this concert. Next time, we will break out some police barricades and do some citizen closing of the street for your loading in and out! goddamn drunk drivers.

I’m so glad that Dave is on the road to recovery, though I’m appalled that the person in question left the scene of the accident.

I’m glad that I had the foresight to get the plate number and that the rest of the people around shouting out random letters didn’t screw it up in my head by the time Officer Holtz arrived.

I just kept repeating it over and over to keep it fresh.

I threw out the side view mirror yesterday because it was leaking glass everywhere, so let me know if you still need it for legal purposes because I’ll dig it back out.

I’m glad that Eric and I could help you guys out and not just because your guys were awesome and your record is phenomenal
(I played the track on side b that sounds Radiohead-esque on 89.5 this past Saturday night)

but because you’re great guys and I know how horrible it is to lose one’s vehicle and fracture one’s scapula (I broke my neck, scapula, and all the ribs on my left side except one last year and the scapula was by far the most painful)

I hope Dave is rehabilitated enough to be playing again within the year because that’s just….the worst. He couldn’t even brush his teeth without yelping the following morning.

Slight amendment: that was my car we piled into, not Eric’s, though he definitely drives it more than I do!

But yeah, take care guys and don’t let anything ever get you down.
(And let me know when you plan to play on the coast, I’m moving back to New Jersey after the new year.)

So glad that Dave is ultimately going to be ok. You’re all very fortunate to have been surrounded by good samaritans that evening…that could’ve been exponentially worse. Makes for a GREAT nightmare gig story though! And, Dave, if you have any of that percocet left…remember, it IS the season for giving!
